FIRST RESPONDER

The First Responder course is designed to provide basic emergency care knowledge and skills to the student who will provide the first emergency care. The objective of the first person on the scene is to recognize the needs of the patient, minimizing discomfort, and prevent further complications. Essentially, this course is a scaled-down EMT course; and we will gear it toward the industrial setting. (40 hour course)

  • Patient assessment

  • Medical emergencies
  • Bleeding and soft tissue injuries

  • Infants and children
